Temporal Investigations

Welcome to the Temporal Investigations

We are a play by e-mail RPG simulation set in the universe of star trek as created by Gene Roddenberry. Our game began many years ago in the once popular IRC sim format. Over that period of time the Temporal Investigations (TI) storyline evolved and matured with an exciting history of memorable missions and characters. Key mission synopsis from the first TI can be found in the In-Character (IC) history file. TI-2 begins nearly three years after the dramatic final IRC mission.
If this is your first time visiting please take a moment to read our story introduction. Throughout the site you will find detailed information about the game, our missions, and crew. Our group of writers have contributed their creative talents in the creation of a constantly growing environment, in-depth characters, original story plots, and life-like relationships. We hope you will enjoy reading the collaborative work from our team.
We encourage anyone with an interest in writing and role-play to come join our adventure. Simply visit the sign-up page and submit your character bio.

You are currently on our SIMM Management System(SMS). While we use this system to maintain our crew manifest and store our mission logs, our main format for the game utilizes a Yahoo! Groups mailing list. For more details on game play that are not answered within our site, please contact our GM.

TI Community Forums

Category: Website Update

Over the last week I have been working to setup a new TI2 community forum. These board systems are intended to be a bridge between the RPG members, Audio Series cast & crew, dedicated readers, and new fans of the audio production. It will have seperate discussion areas for the RPG and Audio series along with areas for other games and productions to advertise.

In an attempt to create and foster a community not simply about TI but around use we have also included forums for other types of discussion. It will take some for us to see a spur of activity in these forums unless the entire TI family comes together and pitches in. Therefore, in the interest of unity between both sides and the fight for success with both projects, I ask that all members of the TI RPG and Audio Series sign up on the forums. My appreciation goes out to all whom assist me in this endeavor by registering and starting discussions in these forums.

As always, thank you for being a valued friend and supporter of Temporal Investigations. Without each and every one of you we would not have as bright of a future ahead of us. Your continued efforts and contributions are priceless to our organization.

Thank you all,
Donald P. Polansky

SMS System Restoration

SMS has been mostly restored with a few remaining bugs. Durring the resoration we upgraded to the latest SMS version which made our custom skin for the game unuseable. I am in the process now of converting the old skin to be compatible with the new version. Until then we are using the programs default skin. If anyone notices any problems please report them to me immediatly.

QUOTE (Donald Polansky @ Sep 20 2008, 05:12 PM)
Well.. durring the installation of our new forums community something damaged the TI RPG Database system. The database itself remains in tact but the PHP pages do not seem to be communicating with that database. This may take some time to fix but I will let everyone know what I am able to find out.
TI2 Hiatus Update

Category: Game Announcement

As we have been on an unofficial hiatus for the last two months I would like to update everyone on the 'official' status of the game.

The Audio series is set to debut sometime in October. As soon as post-production wraps on the premiere I will once again have enough time to resume our game. There was a ton of extra work that needed to be done with getting the audio series going the first time around. Future work will be significantly less as the support structure is now in place.

Therefore, around mid to late October TI2 PBEM RPG will resume game play from where we left off in 'Echoes of the Past'. I will send out the last work done on the JP's that I have at that time and hopefully the entire crew will be able to join us once again.

I apologize for the delay but I hope that you all are looking forward to getting back to the game!

Index Page

I have re-worked the websites index page for a new.. more low screen res friendly layout. This new index page is a bit cleaner and less 'busy' as the original. It also lacks some of the "wow" factor associated the original.
This will not be the last re-work however, but only a temporary fix. As new graphics are created by my audio production team and we draw more near to the release of our sister project (TI Phase2); I will once more redo the index page to include link options to split between TI Phase1 and Phase2.
If anyone runs into any glitches or problems with the new page please let me know!
